IP distribution:
IP distribution refers to any audio/visual delivery method that uses the internet protocol (IP) i.e. that passes through the internet. For example, some cable-based set-top-boxes on your TV use IP or directly to your computer via the web.

Why should I use the Wysiwyg Digital Distribution Network over other download services?
Wysiwyg is a distribution company not a download service. This means we get the widest possible exposure for all productions (i.e. possible sales to DVD, cinema, TV and other outlets). We also syndicate productions for delivery to iPods, PSPs, set-top-boxes, mobile phones and any new viewing technologies that emerge through the Wysiwyg Digital Distribution Network (DDN).
We assess each film to see exactly what potential it has in each available output media and exploit it to its fullest.
Unlike most services, we put films through many delivery services such as LOVEFiLM and GUBA.com
What marketing will Wysiwyg do for my film’s online release?
We do not market films: we enhance their visibility.
“Marketing” as we know it has died. IP delivery does not respond to posters in the Underground/Subway/Metro. Marketing nowadays revolves around user reviews and viral popularity. If a person likes your film they can use the right tools to tell a million more people. Wysiwyg makes the film available around the world through many services, each one of these outlets have different tools to help market films.
Wysiwyg looks for films that have a growing following through downloads and show the potential to move into other forms of distribution, such as DVD and TV. In the world of IP distribution, regardless of marketing, the better a film's content and execution, the better its sales.
By syndicating the content to multiple content delivery providers, Wysiwyg titles will also have the advantage of the marketing power of each of these services.
What Digital Rights Management (DRM) does Wysiwyg have in place?
Wysiwyg relies on the DRM used by the services in the Wysiwyg DDN. Wysiwyg does a thorough due diligence of the services including their anti-piracy and security measures.
In reality, though, if you can watch it on a screen you can copy it, so DRM acts as a deterrent, not a fool-proof mechanism... frankly the more people watch your film, the more people will buy it.
How will I get paid?
By cheque, or bank transfer, at the end of every quarter.
What kind of films does the Wysiwyg Digital Distribution Network sell / rent?
Any genre film with a definable audience, high enough production values, a solid storyline and engaging characters.
Engaging documentaries with strong narrative and high production values.
How much money will I make distributing through the Wysiwyg DDN?
Revenues will vary from service to service. The rights-owner will receive 50% of net revenues earned. 'Net revenues' refers to gross revenue less direct costs associated with distributing the title on that platform.
IP delivery costs
Currently the cost of delivering a feature film via the Internet is approximately £1 $2 €1,75. This includes bandwidth and hosting fees. These fees vary from service to service and from output to output. IPTV syndication will also have different costs from download and streaming. Expenses will always refer only to direct costs associated with a single title on a particular service and will not include things like Wysiwyg overheads, or Wysiwyg transaction costs. The producer will gain revenue from every single viewing of his/her property.
Where will the film appear / be available?
Everywhere, because our DDN includes almost all of the recognized services for IP delivery. New ones appear almost weekly, and we partner with those that are of a certain standing.
Why do I need Wysiwyg to submit my film to other services when I can do it myself?
You can certainly submit films to download services yourself. Every month now new download services appear online. Wysiwyg expands its output as new services appear making films available to an ever widening audience.
Among the new services some are scams, some have DRM that does not work, some accept any kind of film no matter what quality, some cannot show films full screen or full quality, some have no security for their files, some do not pay out and many other issues. Wysiwyg performs a thorough due diligence assessing technology, accounting, delivery quality, security and reporting standards.
In addition Wysiwyg uses the strength of its complete library to negotiate better deals with the services than any single rights-owner can.
What if I want to host my film on a service with which Wysiwyg does not have a partnership?
In the world of rapidly expanding communications, new companies, services and models arise all the time. If Wysiwyg does not have a deal with a particular legitimate service, we are happy to approach them on your behalf and, using the strength of the Wysiwyg library, negotiate a good deal on that service.
